"Once again....this race should be on your MUST DO list if you live in Michigan.
Because of the weather and hill on this route - it can be very challenging even for the experienced runner.
I acheived a 1/2 marathon PR of 1:59:59...and I am sure I will be unable to break this record!"

"Knowing how hot and humid Ann Arbor summers can be, I had reservations about running a half-marathon because I hate running in muggy weather. But I was cajoled into running this race through a good friend of mine-and I am glad that I did. The Dexter-Ann Arbor run is not the flashiest races but it is a good one to run if you like relatively flat courses. While the scenery does not carry the same sights as running a big city race, it is a fairly peaceful run with more than adequate water stations and markers. Despite the weather, I enjoyed the race, the crowd that I ran with, and the fact that I ran my best half-marathon time up to that point. If you are a first time runner and are looking to jump into the running world with a good race, then you should strongly consider the Dexter-Ann Arbor Run. "

"Great race. I raced in 2009, the weather was perfect, sunny, 50's at race time with a gentle breeze.
The coarse generally follows the Huron river as it flows downstream from Dexter to Ann Arbor. The road is asphalt and beautiful with lots of mature trees and great views of this river. Its classic Michigan pastural.
The route is mostly flat with a few small hills the largest are at mile 2, 7 and the finish.
The start was at a Dexter school and the organizers provided transportation from the free parking at the finish to the start and transported your baggage back to the finish. The school was open so you could use indoor plumbing.
They had water, Gatoraid and time checks every two miles.
At the finish they had bagels, oranges, bananas, water and massages."
