"This is one of our local races that has the word "classic" right there in the title. It was a fun and challenging race with most of the course winding through rural areas of Auburn. There is some light traffic, but the runners are somewhat separated from it as they run on a bike lane most of the race.
January is a good time to have this race with mild winters, and we don't have to compete with the oppressive heat of 2/3 of the rest of the year. It was held at a good location for the numbers with plenty of post race food and beverages and a nice medal in the end as well."
