"My first half ironman. Was well organized, The swim is in Lum's pond, not bad. The bike is a nice course through St. George's, across the D&C canal, and back. Mostly flat, fairly scenic. The run is a bit boring, along the D&C canal tow path. Run is very well supported with water/gatorade about every mile. The crowd gets large and vocal as you get back into the campground for the last mile or so. Nice technical tee, the "medal" for finishing was about the size of a nickel, didn't quite understand that. Aid stations did tend to be hit or miss on Hammer Gel, but there was enough."
