"The BAA, the folks who organize the Boston Marathon, are consummate professionals, and I was not surprised that this race was beautifully run. The course highlights the "Emerald Necklace" of parks and parkways in Boston, which are hilly but not extreme. The course has been modified lately to add some mileage in a local zoo, so I can say that in the last mile I ran past a giraffe, a zebra and a Bactrian camel. How many races can claim that?"

"This is a great half marathon! Well organized and a pretty course in boston. Fans were out in force with cow bells and saw lions at the zoo."

"This was my first half marathon and not only was it well-organized, but the course was scenic, interesting and had lots of aid stations available. The only downside was that the finish line was right next to the start line, and it was deceiving to come around the corner at mile 11, only to discover you could see the finish but had to weave around it for 2 miles first. That was pure torture! The event afterward was fun - lots of good food, goodies and people to talk with. It was a memorable first race for me."
