"The course is great-bay swim, nice bike through town that lets you get up some speed rather than 3 or 4 loops that require braking, good 4 mile run. Crowd is big and enthusiastic. Well organized, but letting extra people in this year really jammed up the transition area. I'll do it every year I can."

"Overall, the race was lots of fun.
The swim was my only complaint. I don't know if they swim at the same location, but when I did it we swam in this boat docking area. The water was pretty gross and smelled like gasoline. It was pretty wavy and there was a pretty strong current.
The bike was really nice. A very flat course. The main road for the bike and run course runs straight out to the beach, and you face a sizable headwind going out.
The run was the most memorable part. The whole race is out in the sun, so you can imagine it gets pretty hot. But on the run course, they actually had a mist machine to run through at at least one point. I loved it!
There were plenty of aid stations, and lots of locals out to cheer you on along the course.
The post race party was at a different location - a baseball field near by. It was a great party... tons of great food, and free massages!"
