"This was a wonderful triathlon. The swim was calm, cold, and fast. The water in Ghost Reservoir was quite clear. The bike ride was point-to-point and had a few interesting climbs. The bike ride was very beautiful and the quality of the roads was very good. The bike ride was a bit long --- 58 miles --- but the wind was at our backs so it was not too bad. It was cool to ride toward Calgary and see the city skyline. The run was an out-and-back in a very pretty park near Calgary. I did this race in 2009 and it was very well-organized in what was its inaugural year. I preceded and followed the triathlon with backpacking in the mountains west of Calgary, which I also highly recommend. Very worth making the trip to this triathlon!"
