"This was a very family and spectator friendly race. Very well organized. The water temp was absolutely perfect. The run has a monstrous hill near the end where you are climbing up the back side of the dam. This climb truly separates the casual racers from the He-men/ She-ras. Great event. Loved it. "

"I just adore this race!! It is a fun training event for all athletic levels. This year's august event was particularly loaded with great athletes, which made for some fun competition! There were even 12 year olds tearing up the course!
Last August the reservoir water level was lower, which led to more algae, but this year the water was much cleaner. As always, there was a great food spread at the finish line, and the announcer, Andy, is great! He does a fabulous job of remembering the various athletes and making an event of 161 athletes seem like a family reunion. "
