"This was a great race! Lots of people complained about the steep price tag. Well, I have to say, it was $10 more than I paid for White Rock, but 100X better!
The race was well organized, tons of fun and a fantastic course! And the food and party afterward were fantastic. I have to say this is probably one of my favorite races.
I signed up to run in 2011 at the expo for $64.

"Great race, I thought it was well organized. And it was a fairly flat course. Spectator support was a little light in some area's. In years to come the local spectators will grow.
The whole "spend 150.00 on select clothing to get a bathroom with running water" at the start line was a bad idea.
Maybe next year something with a donation to Susan B. Komen can be created.."

"Overall a good race. Race corral was a little shaky at the start, organization was good in theory, moderate in execution. Sound system at beginning and end needed to be louder. Should provide more than 1 free beer per participant. "

"This event was graced with what was will be one of the top ten days of the year. The start was organized, and in true Dallas fashion, quite the spectacle. The participants were sent off the usual high energy music, however the addition of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders is not so usual. Throw in the comedic stylings of John "The Penguin" Bingham and it was quite the send off!!
The course was flat and fast. Plenty of aid stations, and the signature bands every mile of the Rock and Roll series and this has been one of my favorite races ever. For an inaugural it was great. The after party was immense and well stocked. Great day.
The downer of this event was the logistics between the start line and finish line. I got dropped off so none of this effected me, but you had to shuttle from the finish to the start or find your own way back. Other than that this was a blast and I totally plan on doing this again. "
