"The race covers 41 miles of trails and some dirt roads that meander through the Monongahela National Forest, Canaan Valley--the highest large valley east of the Mississippi-- and the Dolly Sods Wilderness. Overall, a well-organized and well-supported race in a beautiful area of West Virginia, with trails that vary but are not extremely technical. Lodging and dining options, as well as the race fee, were all quite affordable. I highly recommend it for anyone within easy drive of Canaan Valley, West Virginia. A pasta dinner was held the night before the race, and there was an early dinner held afterwards (for an extra fee). "
