"I liked this race minus the rain. It was a good course and I am excited that R and R is going to be running it now. I have done a couple of races they put on and they are a lot of fun. "

"This is my favorite race! I love running past all the landmarks of Denver! I am a native & grew up 8 blocks from the capitol & went to school around the neighborhoods I ran though. I love starting at Civic Center & running through LoDo. Being a huge hockey fan....having the Pepsi Center as our 1st water station was very cool. Union Station, Coors Field, City Park, Cheeseman Park, down 13th (I grew up on 14th & Corona--so, that's my old hood!) & back up Broadway....what an awesome course! Maybe someday I will do the full & go to Washington Park.
I love the run, no doubt about it!!! However, this year there seemed to be more bikers on the course. Some of them, I know were not marshals. That was a bummer, not to mention unsafe!
I was also disappointed in the beer garden. I know, how petty of me. But the beer garden is one of the best parts of a race!!! Last year it was unlimited Left Hand Brewery pops. This year is was MGD. Really??? And we only got one can for free. Really????? That burst my bubble a bit.
Oh! Forgot to mention how great it was to rock with our very own, Opie Gone Bad. Woo Hoo! Hope he gets invited next year when it's a Rock-n-Roll Marathon!!!
Overall, I love this race & will continue to run it year after year."
