"Awesome sprint, great course. This makes a good vacation race. You can hit the Grand Canyon at the same time if you are staying in town a couple days."

"This series of races is done very well and the courses are great but I did the half-iron in it's first year and the support at the aid stations was kind of thin."

"This race is awesome, except for the altitude, but if you schedule this one its your own fault for not looking into that.
The swim is in a very calm lake. Out and back bike. Traffic is allowed on the course, but over two years, the only thing I saw were the race officials. The run is massive. Check the official site, as the 3rd mile is all up hill and nasty. Still makes for a fun race, but don't look for your PR here.
They do not assign spots in transition, so get there early and make sure to protect your spot."
