"This is my 3rd year of participating in the Slacker. It doesn't usually start on time, 10-15 minutes late, and the beginning gets a little congested as you go up to the road service road. The first 4-5 miles are rolly and have to be a little careful of the rocks and not twisting your ankle! The next part is the 'downhill' down an old highway. Then, you go along the frontage road along the interstate and then head into Georgetown. There's lots of volunteers through the town encouraging you on, especially during those darn little hills at the last mile. I think it's a fun half and will definately do again next year. The weather's been Great, sunny, and this year there was a nice littl tail wind at just the right times. It's a very organized race and nice long-sleeve tech shirts at the end. Too bad they ran out of Tommyknocker's beer at the end though! "
