"There isn't any cooler experience than finishing your first marathon, especially at 14 years old. The day had started off cool, so I had some sweats and spring jacket on. I had told my dad to meet me around mile 5 to shed that off. The first 13 miles were going good for me, but once I went right, and all the half marathoners went left, I knew I had a long ways to go. I started to really hurt around mile 17, and knew I had to take in some major calories. I toughed it out to finish in under 5 hours, and had some pretty sore legs afterwards! It was definitely worth it, and loved every moment of it! Also loved the run through Lambeau Field!

"I've worked the waterstop on the Fox River Trail for the past four years, but this year I decided to run the half. The race director, Sean Ryan, had asked me to speak about the history of Green Bay running and also about my book Run at Destruction
http://tinyurl.com/dmo5vx at the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon Sponsors luncheon and I decided I needed to run the race, too. The weather was perfect, the course was quite flat, and the excitement was contagious! Right before the finish we entered Lambeau Field and circled the field before exiting to finish in the parking lot. After the run we drove back to our home and I joined friends at a water stop on the Fox River Trail and still could cheer for those completing the marathon. Even saw a guy I ran with at the start of the half - "Roger" from Minneapolis that was completing his 25th. Definitely would recommend the race! "
