4 Reviews for Healdsburg Wine Country Half Marathon

"This was my first half-marathon and I loved it. Its a beautiful course, good support on the course, fun people around. All in all, I had a great day. There are rolling hills that I heard people talking about but being a San Franciscan, it seemed relatively flat to me. My only complaint was the check-in process. One hour before the race, the organizers hadn't even setup checkin. This led to a mad scramble to find your badge - it really was poorly thought through. It didn't help that it was freezing at that hour (and still dark out). But I'd still strongly recommend this race."

"This course was a great choice for my first half marathon. It's a beautiful time of year, with clear, cool weather, and wine tasting at the finish.
The good: A well-marked course weaving through vineyards on two-lane roads without too much traffic. A few hills but nothing too steep. Water stations every two or so miles; the third water station also offered wine tasting. At the finish, food, a band, wine tasting, and a ride back to the start, since this was a point-to-point run.
The bad: My only gripe was the additional $15 fee to pick up your packet if you couldn't make the Friday evening pick-up, which was open until 7 p.m.
Overall, it was pretty well-organized and I would definitely sign up again. "

"Course was gorgoues-ran through Dry Creek Wine Country. Race organizer was not very well organized, but the finish with wine and food was spectacular"

"The course is beautiful as it runs past the wineries in Healdsburg, the post race food is good and the wine tasting after the race is fun. Things were pretty disorganized at the start however. There was no system in place to pick up you number on race day for those that had arranged to do so. This mad picking up your number a free-for -all. As a result, the race started late. "
