"Very professionally done, and given the right day, this could be a fantastic race. Delicious post-race BBQ, fun DJ, fun course (though the roads need some serious work) and a very nice venue.
However, there are a few aspect is to this race that lead me to suggest finding something else for this time of year.
1. Early May, Massachusetts = COLD MORNINGS. Find a race in Florida. :-) The water is freezing, and the air is colder. If it works out that it's on a warm weekend - it's likely to be a lot more fun. I didn't feel my hands or feet until the race was over.
2. Weather conditions aside, the pavement for the bike course is pretty rough in some spots. I head of several people's arm rests and saddles on their TT bikes jarring out of place.

"Interesting early season tri, plagued with some unexpected difficulties that one might imagine for a tri at this time of year in new england. 40 mph winds and 2 foot swells made for a rather challenging swim. The course director really kept things moving though, and dealt with the challenges this presented (shortening the swim as the buoys were drifting away, and canceling later swim waves after the rescue craft ran into difficulty and things just became unswimable). Bike course, while cold, is a good one, technically speaking. Some short climbs, and a few decent straightaways to pick up speed. run course was the most interesting element, with a big climb and descent, then trail run, back to rd, and a finish across the top of the reservoir and back along the beach. i'd recommend for sure, but be warned, it can get nasty out htere"
