1 Reviews for Huron Township Applefest 5K and 10K

"Overall this race has to have 4 stars because you get a free breakfast from Pete's Place if you take your bib in up to a month afterwards and it's FABULOUS!
The course starts off slightly downhill at the one stoplight in town and takes you into Lower Huron MetroPark which is gorgeous in the fall with the leaves getting pretty close to their peak. The first half or so is down the main park road. Then you wind onto some paved trails. There's a few hills but nothing too awful. And the very last part of the course is also slightly downhill and right along the Huron River. Gun start, chip finish. Donuts and cider at the finish tent. Winners of the 5K & 10K take home apple pies and age group winners get cider.
About my only complaint on this race is there's no gatorade/electrolyte drink anywhere on the course or at the finish. So if you need some, better bring your own. Oh and only two port-a-potties for the entire bathroom count, which seems kind of weird since it's held during a festival."
