"I loved this race. Downtown Indianapolis is such a cool downtown area to run through, the outer suburbs had some gorgeous homes and the fall colors made it a very scenic run. Roads were very well kept and easy to run on. Not a super crowded race but enough people so it didn't feel like you were running alone. Fan support is sparse in some areas if that's what you're looking for you might want to go elsewhere but God bless the folks organizing because they send people out to some of the areas with the least amount of spectators to cheer you on. (I especially loved the lone race volunteer at around mile 21 cheering her heart out for everyone). On the negative side, I am pretty sure the mile markers were off between 10-12. We had been running a 10:30 pace the whole time and suddenly found our miles at 11:30, 9:30, then back at 10:30 without feeling at all like we changed pace. Then a few later mile markers were blowing down b/c it was so windy and that can be a little rough when you are desperately looking for one. But other than that, all pluses from me. I would love to do this one again! "

"This was my first half-marathon and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! The crowd was fantastic and it wasn't too crowded, but I still felt like I was in a "real" race. I was able to walk a block to my car after the race, and enjoyed the support of the people of Indianapolis. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a flat, fast, well-organized race! My only advice would be to be careful when ordering your shirts - unlike most races, they weren't unisex sizes, so mine was much too small."
