"The organization was mediocre. We had one substitution on our team and we were passed to 4 different lines. Bag check in and the start area wasn't very well signed.

I understand the lack of schwag this year in comparison to other events I've run. I also work a non-profit and all of our sponsors are tightening their belts as well. I would've been nice for participants who were of age to get a free beer with their bib #, or maybe something like that since we paid $40 per person. We all loved our participant t-shirts however.

Very decent amount of porto-potties. Good locations for the water stations. I loved that spectators could just come by and not get charged and they had free reign to see everything.

The ECO part of the race wasn't great. There was only very few locations to drop off your used shoes and the booths were spread out too far. Most of those booths were just selling things and they were very expensive. My thought would be to keep booths centralized. After a run in mud, many people just want to get showered off and go, not just wander everywhere.

The course was on a lot of asphalt initially then going through the lagoons at the water park were really nasty (the odor was really bad). Once we got on the regular dirt roads and trails it was a better run. there were a few points where spectators walked through the course just as we were all crossing-- not very good.

I'd do this again because it was still fun and despite being mediocre, I enjoy getting dirty and laughing with friends so it was no big deal."
