1 Reviews for Dailys Ortega River Run

"Overall, this is a great race. It is one of my favorites in Jacksonville and I'd highly recommend it to anyone. It is a fun run in a beautiful part of Jacksonville. The course winds around some gorgeous homes underneath a canopy of large (shady) trees. Runners cross two bridges. On the Ortega/Grand Ave Bridge, they get a very nice view of downtown across the St. Johns River. Every year I've run it, they have ice cream at the end and who doesn't like ice cream?
Two potential negatives: Number of runners vs. course size and parking
It is probably not the best race to try and PR as some of the streets are narrow with sharp turns. The run can be crowded for the first mile.
If you are not familiar with the area, parking can be tricky if you don't show up early enough.
