"This race is a Jacksonville staple. Overall, it is hilarious with people dressing up as pies, chefs, eating utensils, etc. There is even a pie eating contest afterward. This race really has a fun vibe.
That said, I cannot recommend it to anyone trying to do a serious run. Because of the time of year and time of day, it can be ridiculously hot. Runners will most likely feel waves of heat radiating up from the road while running this course. I feel like this race can be hotter than the Tour de Pain (another Jacksonville race), which is intentionally trying to find a hot time to run.
The course itself is unremarkable but it is nice that it is downtown. Running near The Landing helps ensure that there is a good crowd of spectators at the finish."

"Great Race! It poured during the last mile but it was worth it because it was so hott that day! It was fun to see the people who dressed up like pies! There was even a guy in a chicken suit who crossed before me! haha!"
