Race to celebrate April Fools Day. Race organizers went out of way to instill a festival attitude despite the cold wet weather and did a great job. Special feature is that a very fast local youth runner - The Fool, is given a handicap and starts (I think) 2 minutes after everyone else and attepts to pass as many people as possible. The run follows the parimeter of a small rural island/peninsula that is composed of a park and farms. Nice scenery and views of the Columbia. The road is open to traffic, but the area is so isolated, that there was virtually no traffic. Great organization. Inexpensive. Hi Tech shirt for low cost and fun little April Fools Day necklace. Subway was one of the sponsors so there was an endless supply of sandwiches.
