2 Reviews for Rock n Roll Los Angeles Half Marathon

"This was the first year for Rock N Roll Los Angeles, and I'm glad I got to be a part of it!
The expo was nice with lots of sponsor booths and goodies. They had my usual favorites: Sport beans, muscle rubs, rice, lara bars, mgd 64 samples, and cascadia farms cereals, and some wine samples.
The course was VERY hilly. And it was all towards the end which made me hit a wall but despite it, I got my PR here and shaved off a whole 20 minutes from my previous 1/2 marathon time.
They had plenty of porta potties, medic tents, and water stations with cytomax and water.
The course is very spectator friendly and my husband and friends were able to drive around the side streets and see me about 3-4 times. Also a certain section of a neighborhood gave us great support. They came out with orange slices, candy, and one even set up their own water station for us.
The end is a red carpet arrival in downtown Los Angeles and it was pretty exciting to be part of the very first year and will definetly run it again the 2nd year. Plus the bling is super nice!!! "

"It was another sunny day in LA, but not terribly warm, so it was great for running.
The course was hillier than it looked on the profile, especially the hill at mile 10 (a bit of a soul crusher).
I look foreword to running it again and beating my previous time.
