1 Reviews for Go Green St. Patricks Day 5k/10k

  (03-14-2010)
"I'm seeming to feel this review is going to be a bit harsh. Maybe I'm still tired from running 9 miles yesterday. Maybe the fact that my hamstrings are tight to all hell and my quads are tired and weak are making me cranky.
It seemed strange that the 5k runners started before the 10k runners. Maybe as a 10k runner, I just want to go first. After all if I was a half marathoner, I'd be used to ALWAYS starting first, rather than second.
The trail was nice. It's always nice to see cities take areas and make trails that are lined with trees. Although for a run, it was a bit crowded (it's a small tight 2 way trail).
It probably would have been better to start at 8 or 8:30 am rather than 9. By 9 am, the locals are out on their daily walks, runs, or cycling routines.
Maybe I was/am too tired but I believe I ran a 12k rather than a 10k.
Decision to run next year, the jury is still out. Running partner and I discussed it on the way out of town but we aren't committing ourselves.
On another note, they ran out of small tech T's. That's nothing new, that usually happens to me. "
