"This is a fun race. The swim has a little current but is very manageable. This is great race for both seasoned veterans and newbies alike. The course is well marked and mostly flat and fast for both the bike and the run. The run is mostly all on a paved sidewalk that runs parallel to the water - no road traffic at all. That is a great feature and good for spectators. Spectators can stay right near transition and have a good view of all three venues. Nice crowd support right at the finish. The last three years a band set up and played on the stage - that was good entertainment for everyone."
