"I have run this race all 3 years that they've had it, and I have to say this year was the best yet!
The race is very well-organized. It took me less than 5 minutes to pick up my packet this year. Unfortunately, I wasn't crazy about the shirts. They've been really colorful the past two years, but this year was just black with a grey logo.
They also quit using Accelerade this year (I was glad) and switched to Snapple Antioxidant Water. It was MUCH better to have that. The water and Snapple was also ice cold at all stops this year.
The course is incredibly flat and quite scenic through the streets of Murfreesboro.
The medals are always really nice, and this year was no exception.
There's quite a lot of crowd support.

"I have run in this half-marathon both years that they've had it, and I'm registered to run it again this year!
Murfreesboro is FLAT! This course has you run down historic Main Street, through the main square of Murfreesboro, and all around and through the campus of Middle TN State University. Since I attended MTSU, it's fun to go back to the Boro and run around my old stomping grounds.
The race organization is always superb. There are plenty of volunteers manning the water stops. My only real complaint about the race is that in the past 2 years they've served Accelerade. I can't stand that stuff and it makes me sick, so I've had to just take water.
There isn't really a race expo. You just swing by the local Fleet Feet Sports to pick up your packet or grab it the morning of the race.
The medals are really nice, and they have given out cool Brooks short-sleeve tech shirts both years.
The race finishes on the MTSU track, and it's awesome to run into the stadium and find people cheering for you. There are a good number of spectators along the course as well, and last year a firetruck came and set up the hose to create a spray to run through (October can still be pretty hot in TN!)
The post-race food the past 2 years have included fruit, bagels, water, chocolate milk and pizza."
