"I am a local, and have run this race for the past 5 years. The organization of this race is fantastic, the directors do the best working with what Myrtle Beach has to offer! Parking at the start is incredibly easy, as it is across from a large shopping/entertainment complex (Broadway at the Beach) which has plenty of free parking. I gave the "course" 4 stars...running on Ocean Boulevard is fun, but a large stretch of the course is down Kings Highway (otherwise known as business 17). Only one lane is closed off for runners, so you are inhaling exhaust for quite sometime. Crowd support is decent...great at the finish line and at certain points throughout the race, but not always consistant. There is usally great shwag, with medals, tech t-shirts, and some sort of other goodie (in the past I've recived various backpacks, a soft lunch cooler, and water bottles). Aid stations consistant every 2 miles, and clearly marked. There is a great after party at the House of Blues. It is a very FLAT, FAST course, and not overly crowded, so a great place to set that P.R.! And who doesn't want to go to the beach?!"
