1 Reviews for NYRR Scotland Run

"The course was 6.2 miles on the outer loop in Central Park, running clockwise. Most runners (like myself) usually go counter clockwise, so it was different. Weather was a bit warmer than expected on race day (No PR, sadly). It was nice that every so often there someone had a hose spraying water upwards if you wanted to cool down. But the nice weather also led to more park traffic so a bit of dodging those who were daring enough to try to cross a small gap in the runners when the volunteers told them to wait.
NYRR has been doing this for years so they pretty much have the organization down pat. One gripe would be that baggage drop off is far from where the corrals are so that it would be closer to the finish line. Tons of runners and some in kilts!
The after festivities were a bit underwhelming. Although there was a raffle that each runner can enter, there wasn't much more than that. I thought there would be more activities going on for this race, especially to promote Scotland. "
