10 Reviews for Tower Triathlon

"This is a great warm up race for experienced triathletes as well as first timers. To get your head around your equipment and simply get outside and race you get it all here. It is easy in and out - parking is right there. Some volunteers were great
- and deserve 10 stars. The race director is fabulous. The goodie bag was great ! Stuff you can actually use ! The course is tricky - racers are spread out - so pacing is tough and counting the
bike laps can be a challenge.( for minds like mine) I will certainly do it again and encourage others to join in !"

"This was a great event and a beautiful day. The crowd was enthusiastic and supportive, the course and transition area were well marked, and the volunteers were nice. I appreciate all the hard work to prepare and pull off such an event. I enjoyed the podcast and the e-mails prior to the event. Thank you."

"First-timer, enjoyed it very much, seemed well organized, volunteers were great. My only complaint was the pool (at least the men's pool) was way too warm, like swimming in soup. Probably comfortable for kids to play in but not for a lap pool or race. I hope they turn down the heat next year. Otherwise, it was fun and I enjoyed it a lot."

"Run OUT not well marked...a banner or large sign would be good. What's the deal with the photos? A guy was taking pictures, but I don't know how to get them."

"My only gripe is that there was no pad to ride over as there has been in past years for the bike. After the first lap, I thought I missed it and was very upset. Just should have warned us ahead of time."

"I really like this event. It is a great way to start the year and the people are very nice. I suggest this event to all beginners in Chicago as it is great for newbies. It is also fun to see how you improve each year as you gain experience."

"The organizers and volunteers are nice people that run a quality event. There is no better course for triathlon newbies. The run and bike routes are perfectly flat and the pool has no unknowns."

"Great first race of the season. Ended up doing an extra swim lap, but I really liked the pool portion. This was my first indoor swim and nice and organized compared to open water swims. Need at least one portapotty on the run portion or in transition."

"Some of the signage was very confusing. For example, when I was running out of the pool area they didn't have a clear path out and I started going down the path that was leading back into the pool. I turned around and bumped into two other ladies who did the same thing! We all turned around and headed back, the right way."
