"Nice bike course, but I can't vouch for the swim or the run.

The weather forced the race director to turn the swim into a 5K. As a swimmer, I did not like that. Consequently, I think I just blocked the run course out of my memory.

The bike was nice - rolling hills, but nothing to serious - a pretty fast course.

But the real reason I'm writing this review is the food. Amazing post race deal. They opened up an all you can eat BBQ buffet at a restaurant across the field from the transition area. 4 cheeseburgers never tasted so good!

The race was very well organized, and great for first timers. They did an excellent pre-race review of rules and the course for anyone that is unfamiliar. If I still lived in VA, I would definitely do this one again!"
