1 Reviews for Capital City Marathon

"The Capital City marathon tries to do something extra each year. In 2008 they had running pants for marathon finishers and a nice little tote bag, in 09 they had a running Jacket to give out. They also gave out different designed medals each year, but in 09 they did not give any out. I would tend to think they will reverse that line of thinking as they were barraged with displeased runner email. Check their site if you want the medal in 2010 before you choose to run it.
The course changed from 2002 when I first ran it to where it goes out in the Washington country side and multiple hills. If you live in Washington it's no big deal, but if you are from out of state you'll like it. The last six miles are run through the Olympia community and they are very supportive and it's a nice last part of the race. I was sprayed by a water hose from a nice Grandma who though I looked hot (well overly warm that is!)."
