"The Disney Half Marathon is a great race! You have a flat course and you get to run through the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. I get chills everytime I think back to running down Main St heading towards the castle.
The organization of the event is first class. You have a great expo with a ton of vendors and great Half Marathon merchandise for sale.
Yes, it is an extremely early start and it is hard to believe there is so much activity going on at that time, but it gets you ready for the race. The start is fantastic with fireworks. I was amazed at the crowd support.
This past year was unique for the race because as we were heading to the starting corrals, snow flurries were falling. Yes, snow flurries in Orlando. As the race began those flurries turned in to a misty rain. It made for a cold and damp race, but that did not matter. Conquering the most magical 13.1 miles was worth it."

"Great race! Nice flat course that takes you through the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. Great crowd support, volunteers and Disney characters! If you love Disney, you must do this race! It also has a phenomenal expo.
The only negative is the 5:50 a.m. start time and Disney stops running transportation to the start at 4:00 a.m.

"Great race. It was my first full marathon and the flat course made it an easy one. I got to experience Orlando in freezing temps, but the volunteers were great. In between the parks it can get quite boring but in the parks is an awesome experience. The specators are out in full force where they are allowed.
If you love Disney this is a must do race! Awesome bling at the end too! :o)"

"My first Disney race (as part of the Goofy Challenge)
Weather was not great, but we had a wonderful time. Disney puts on a great event! Plenty of support, fun route through the parks (though a little boring in between). Excellent bling!"

"I LOVED this race. Getting a big PR might have skewed my opinion a little, but the race was a ton of fun. It starts very early in the morning and part of the course is out on the Disney highway where crowd support is thin, but it picks up after awhile. I did this race as part of the Goofy Challenge (half on Saturday, full on Sunday) and it was very cool to get an inside, VIP tour of the parks. The races are well-organized and fun whether your are extremely competitive or just out for a good time and personal challenge."

"Nice, flat course. If you like Disney, you'll love the race. No matter where you stay, though, you'll have to get up very early to make it to the start, so that could throw you off your game."
