"* This is an outstanding race on all levels.
* One of the most scenic courses I've ever been on from start to finish.
* The very small number of participants provides a "family-like" atmosphere.
* You have a crew and crew vehicle so there are no formal aid stations, per se; your crew provides your aid at all times.
* Given how long the event is and how few people there are doing it (about 30), there really isn't "crowd support" in the traditional sense. However, all the race support people, crew members, and other athletes are always cheering you on throughout the race.
* Unlike Ironman, Ultraman's atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. All athletes have the mindset that "we're all in this together" whereas Ironman tends to have more of a stuffy "I'm better than you" sort of vibe.
* If you can handle the distance, this is one of the coolest events you could ever be a part of that will be a part of you for the rest of your life."
