"I am actually reviewing the Olympic Distance, but it didn't give me that option!
The expo the day before rocked! I don't think I have ever seen a more energetic tri around.
The swim got delayed. They had the time all planned out to go out when the tide of the river was with us, but it changed and was AGAINST us. There was a point where I looked up and saw a kayak, swam for 5 more minutes, and was in the same place! It took me almost an hour to do that swim. The bike was a good course, with only 1 aid station at the turn around point. The run was mainly flat but hot out. Afterwards, I got to meet and talk with Becky Lavelle. What an awesome woman. Not like other pros who just shove you off like you are some other person. Was bummed that I got no finisher medal. I am from Wisconsin and wanted something cool to take home, but the picture of Becky and me was good!"
