"This is the second year for the Rochesterfest Triathlon and it was a great race. Although this race may have already outgrown the venue, the race director did a great job to accomodate both newbies and seasoned competitors alike.
The swim for the Olympic race is twice around a small pond. The pond is fairly clean and is sheltered from the wind.
The bike course starts with a closed section of road in order to get out of town. Both sprint and oly courses share the same road until the sprint turns back about 5 miles out. After the sprint turnaround, the course gets hillier and a bit more challenging.
The run course is on multi-use trails along the river. It's an interesting run with plenty of shade from the hot sun.
SWAG this year was great! Sweatvac shirts and water bottles. Pullover jackets for early entries too.
