"This is a great little race,it's in it's 3rd year. No frills, just running with a few friends. It's run to honor Martin Luther King Jr. & is always on the Saturday after the holiday. Proceeds benefit one of the departments of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon.
I had an injured foot (plantar fasciitis), but still ran this. I have run it each year and didn't want to miss it. I was 3 minutes slower than last year, but still not bad considering. :)"

"This is a new race (only 2 yrs old) that is fun to do and benefits programs at the college. I have run it both years and enjoy it. I like the fact that it honors Martin Luther King, Jr. and what he stood for. If you want a simple, fun race to run in the cold of winter, this is for you. Come an join us!"
