"Second time doing this race. Last season was my first triathlon and this years time was much improved! The race field itself got faster too. Where my time would have been a very close second place last year, I was 6th this year (the rest of the field was within 2 minutes too, so that should give you an idea about the level of competition). That said, I think this is a GREAT race for first timers with a nice swim (wetsuit not required but helpful) in decent temp water, a quick bike course and moderately challenging run. "

"great sprint triathlon. my first event as well. very fast course and field, but also a very forgiving course. The slightly longer than average bike loop is made easier by a few nice long descents, which you pay for right at the end with some steady climbing. Lots of first timers to share and bond with too. Good post race munchies and givaways"

"Definitely enjoyed this race, and would recommend it. Would be a great race for first timers.
Pros: beautiful scenery, AWESOME POST RACE FOOD (only race I've ever seen all you can eat pizza after the race), clean swim, beautiful bike course.
Con: there were not enough volunteers on the bike course, there was one unattended intersection at the foot of a downhill.
Really a great race, and I think the entire series is a lot of fun!"
