"I loved this course. I did Escape the next week. This was good prep for Escape and I think a better race. Escape seems too crowded and in the bike and run I was slowed because there were a lot of times I could not pass. This "pre"-race I was able to really go as hard as I wanted. And I ended up well prepared for the hard parts of Escape. This was the first Anchorman and I think well organized. Our ferry was a little late getting out (I'm not sure why) but I really like Trifreak events in general (tough but fun courses that are well setup and managed). I will participate again."

"This was my very first tri, and I'd recommend it to anyone who's fit and excited to move from the running only realm to a new challenge. The whole course is beautiful - from the swim into Chrissy Field to the breaktaking ocean views on the bike and the trail during the run. Incredible race.
The only 'eh's I would say were that there was NO aid at all, and many of the bags/transportables were hard to find or even missing. I'd recommend having a friend or significant other at the swim exit with your stuff."
