"I have always wanted to run this. Having a huge fear of hills, I never ran it in the past. However, what is the best way to conquer a fear? GET OVER IT and JUST DO IT!!
The hill up to the Golden Gate Bridge isn't so bad. It winds around, granted I didn't make it all the way up, I made it most of the way up and found that I could walk faster than my jog.
Running across the bridge, it seems to rain whenever I manage to run a race that takes me over the bridge. I managed.
The plus is parking was discounted, $10. The shuttle service from Aquatic Park to the start was convenient.
The rain broke for a bit and the sun shown through. That warmed my bones but in the end, it rained and then stopped.
Aside from the start, the route is similar to the US Half Marathon and the Bridge to Bridge.
Most likely I'll run this again next year. "

"This is an amazingly beautiful course that is fast and flat. There is only one hill and it is at the first mile. I love running over the Golden Gate Bridge, but races with an out and back on the bridge is too much. This race, you get bussed to the start and then you are running to the finish. There is always a great expo after with a lot of vendors. I ahve done this race 5 times and I try to make it a yearly event! And it is usually great weather in SF this time of year!"

"This is a great 12K put on by Emerald. The course is amazing as you get to run over the Golden Gate Bridge and along the Embarcadero. The weather can be hot or miss depending on the time of year, but even with some rain it's a great local race. "

"Overall a fun race if you're looking to do one that involves running over the Golden Gate Bridge. You run on the pedestrian path on the bridge. There is a downhill start, then a very steep hill leading up to the bridge, a downhill portion coming off the bridge, and another downhill right before the finish. This past year it was drizzly and cold (but luckily not windy). There is a shuttle bus to the start in Sausalito that leaves from Aquatic Park so that makes things very easy. There were long lines at the shuttle bus pick-up to get on the buses so get there early, especially if you are in the first wave. I love point to point races because you feel like you accomplish something more than just running in a circle. Well-organized! Cotton long-sleeve tees. I believe there was an option to upgrade to a tech tee for extra $. The finish area was set-up like a mini expo with vendors with samples."
