"A fun and easy (flat) run along Crissy Field that I've participated in through work for the past several years. I definitely look forward to doing this again. Parking can be a problem, so public transit or carpooling is definitely encouraged!"

"This race is actually 3.5 miles, not 5K. It's a small difference, except when the last 0.4 mi seems to be in a straight line and you can see the finish line for AGES but aren't quite there yet!
The course was beautiful, circling Crissy Field and almost reaching the fort at the foot of Golden Gate bridge before turning back. Unfortunately, the race didn't start on time; it was scheduled for 6:30 pm but took a while longer. Since I was going very slowly, it was dark by the time I reached the finish line. This was good and bad; I was discouraged to see how late it was, but at least I got to watch the sun set throughout the race.
The course was very well staffed with volunteers, who enthusiastically cheered us on. There were also electronic mile markers, I think, displaying the time elapsed since the beginning of the race. Very useful for ordinary office workers like me who forgot to bring a watch to a race =)"
