"A quick, fast race with the perk of crossing home plate in AT&T Park. Perfect for a Giants fan!
For being a short race, I was pleasantly surprised at how well organized it was. I was surprised just to have a chip!
It was fun, fast and followed-up by a great ballgame!
My only gripe is that since they play up the "crossing home plate in the ball park", there should be a better scenario set up for photos. Mine turned out awful because I was blocked by other runners."

"This was my first race in a long time. I was out of shape and resigned myself to just trying to finish, but I ended up having a blast!
The course started just south of AT&T Park and followed King / Embarcadero to the Ferry Building, then turned around and looped through the park itself on the way back. Although parts of the course were scenic, the first half was on the road and the second half on the sidewalk. The sudden transition from asphalt to concrete was harsh!
The start line wasn't very well organized; I couldn't easily tell whether runners were encouraged to start out in front of walkers, and there were no signs to separate people by mile pace. I think most participants were casual, so it didn't matter much; I only got caught behind walkers for a little bit.
The big gimmick of the course -- running the bases in AT&T Park and crossing home plate -- wasn't executed well. Despite being at the end of the race, when people have hopefully separated a bit into their pace groups, it was far too crowded inside the park. Even at my somewhat slow pace, I felt held back by the narrow paths we were allowed between bases.
In the Details section, I marked that the race included beer and a cool medal. Actually, they gave mimosas to the first finishers (top 300?) and sold them at $3 each to everyone else. They also gave out bobbleheads and a ticket to a Giants game that afternoon to every participant.
Some other notes:
-The race used d-tag electronic timing
-There was one water station approximately halfway through the course
-There were plenty of volunteers cheering on all the participants"
