"This was the first Santa Monica Turkey Trot, and as such, had kind of a experimental feel to it. The course was beautiful (on some really beautiful, seaside, wide roads in santa monica), and the crowd very friendly and community-oriented, but the organization was not quite all there, and the race started 15 minutes late. It felt like a grassroots, community-oriented race, and it was great to see families out and some people even wearing Thanksgiving costumes. Would do it again next year."
