"Pros:
-Good schwag! Great medal, nice long sleeve technical shirt)
-Decently priced
-AWESOME scenery! Just gorgeous! Route through the Soledad vineyards and farms! You'd run by a field of crops and a sign on the side would tell you what you're looking at...so, educational to boot!
-Fresh produce aid stations! Strawberries!
-Aid stations also provided Gu
-Wine glass!
Cons:
-No chip timing? WHAT? It was the inaugural race so I will let it slide. And I've heard that for the 2nd annual race in 2011 they will do chip timing (Don't hold me to that)
-The PHOTOGRAPHY COMPANY!! Printroom is a COMPLETE RIPOFF! $29.95 FOR ONE DIGITAL DOWNLOAD? I don't think so. And the pictures they captured were mostly terrible.
-This is a point to point race so it was slightly chaotic. We were to take a bus from one place, to the start area. At the finish, we were to take a bus from there back to the original area (not the start area). It worked out...but was a little confusing for my those that came with me to cheer me on.
Overall (1-10): 8.
PS: This was my PR half marathon to date."
