"I relayed this race as a swimmer. Swimming on the Russian River was a different experience and I really enjoyed it. The temp was low 70's and I will say swimming downstream was harder than swimming upstream. Coming back upstream was wonderful and I came back up river much faster than down river. We drove the bike course as well as the run for my teammates. The course reminds me of wildflower with less hills but the last hill is towards the end, for the full vineman you do this course loop twice. I would concider doing this course again a few ways next year. Either as a 1/2 at Vineman a few weeks before more men out there to look at. As Barbs again the medals were uniqe but w didn't get finishers tees, all my vineman full buddies had tees and medals. I would love to do the aquabike version of this event a few of my friends did it and loved it. If not I wouldn't mind doing the relay of the full vineman"

"This was my first ever triathlon and I had a great time. Swimming in the river was refreshing and warm compared to the ocean. The bike trail is stunning and takes you through endless vineyards. The hill (Chalk Hill) at about mile 45 is freakin' crazy and just keeps going and going and going and going. The run is a loop and a half, which I like. There are aid stations at every mile on the run and adequately spaced aid stations on the bike trail. The sense of comraderie is terrific and the participants are very friendly. I would do this again!"

"I loved this race! It's almost the exact same course as the Vineman 70.3 (the run doesn't go through La Crema Vineyard), but it has friendlier, and more relaxed vibe that you would expect with an all-women's race. And best part, is that half of your entry fee goes to support cancer charities. It seems to always take place on the same weekend as Lazy Bear in Guernesville, so make sure you book a room as soon as possible."
