"This is a fast course! It has the odd bump here and there, and the last mile or 2 are flat, but the rest is a nice gradual 2-3% grade downhill. Perfect to help you on to a new PR. I chopped over 5 minutes off from mine!
The race starts in Copperton, right next to the large copper mine, one of only 2 man-made structures visible from the Space Station. From there is descends gradually into South Jordan and finishes along the Jordan River Trail.
The weather was perfect this year, and aside from some problems with the bus company, everything on race morning seemed well taken care of.
If you do this race, I would suggest both sunglasses and hat, since you'll be running into the rising sun.
Aside from the buses, the half marathon course was a hair long, but from what I hear the race directors are already working on ways to eliminate those problems for next year.
Excellent race for first timers or someone looking for a new PR, and once you recover at the end, be sure to grab a Chick-Fil-A chicken biscuit!"
