"This was a nice change of pace - a smaller, hometown kind of race but obviously they were well organized. Weather was horrible - bitter cold, windy, and snow - so conditions were not favorable this year. But on a good day, the course could definitely give you a PR. This is a no-frills race that is solid and has all the basics covered. I would do it again in better weather! Enjoyed the day."

"Was very disappointing. The course was rather boring and unregulated (for traffic, bandits, and those who simply cheated). I'm slow, I admit that, but I finished before the time limit (with room to spare) and ahead of many other participants. When I crossed the finish line, I was told to go inside to claim my medal and eat. Inside, I was told that the "local" runners had helped themselves to "extra" medals and food and there were none left. For the medal, I was told I could email a reminder to the race director. It took better than a month and weekly email reminders, but I finally got the medal.
On the upside, it counts toward my state count! (Wait, that's sad...)"
