1 Reviews for Theta Breakers 5K and 10K

"The 2009 Theta Breakers 5K and 10K was held on World Running Day at Stanford University. It was a small race with quite a fast field.
The race is for a good cause (Child Advocates of Silicon Valley), and the organizers were an enthusiastic bunch. Some issues were that (1) the bathrooms the organizers thought would be open were locked, so there was a change in restroom venue, unfortunately that took awhile to get organized; (2) errors in marshaling caused many of the 10K participants to get off course; (3) there were no mile markers on the course. Even writing it in chalk on the sidewalk would have been helpful. However, the course is nice and flat, as well as being somewhat scenic through the campus. A very pleasant run. Parking was no problem.
Post-race food included the usual suspects (bagels, fruit, water, bottled energy drinks), plus Hobbee's coffee cake. Yum! :-)
