"This was my first marathon I did! My legs had rigor mortis after I ran this... but now 2 years later I'm going to do my 2nd road marathon...don't worry I have been a trail ultrarunner since and will try to topple my road marathon time by almost 1 full hour...God Willing!
The best aspects about this run is that its gentle rising and lowering elevation so its not completely flat which can make it even faster for the elites. Secondly since its a highway run it doesn't have any turns so there is no slow downs in turns like other marathons which is another plus for the elites.
Thirdly the reason the elites don't run this marathon very often is because its not a Boston Qualifyier but you just might get first place if you don't burn out the last 5 miles! And best of all its only 50 dollars and you get fresh air compaired to the other marathons in town and its on a Sat. not Sunday so I'm going."

"Great small town race. The course is an out and back, and good enough for great times. The final 7 miles are a slow down hill that encourages a negative split. This is a great place to get that early (or late) Boston Qualifing time before the heat rushes in or you are faced with the tougher Arizona Marathon courses that are not good for fast times. Do this race and save your money by not doing the Arizona Rock-n-Roll Marathon. The race staff are consitantly top notch! "
