"The race was very warm. 79 degree swim and up to 104 degrees on the run. They say it is a dry heat, but no shade and only water for aid makes many people warm.
The only reason that I will not do this race again after having done it the last three years is that the challenge is minmal and the swag is non-existant.
However, if you are looking for a first tri with lots of loops for your family to see you often - this is the race for you!"

"The race was a bit of a comedy of errors. Chips were distributed on race day. The organizers gave my timing chip to someone else. Thankfully he noticed after about a 10 min delay. I still had time to setup. The race results were off by several minutes initially. They were eventually corrected, but this caused undue confusion. I am not a fan of this course, which is used by most local races in Tempe Town Lake. The lake is dirty and the bike course has several u-turns. The run is really nice, which is why I give it 2 stars.
