"There is a reason why this race has been voted as the best road race...because it IS!
With bands and festivities at every single mile, it's more of a party than a race. The miles just fly by as you watch the sidelines for Irish dancers, belly dancers, jugglers, and listen to music from all genres.
For the race being located in an otherwise unknown part of Central New York, the expo draws quite a nice range of vendors, and is fairly large. The post-race celebration cannot be beat, as the race ends at the FX Matt Brewery.
The course is pretty challenging, with 2 mentionable sets of hills, but is by far the most enjoyable race that I've done."

"This race touts itself as the best 15K road race in the U.S. Having run it 10 times in a row, I have to agree. Everything about it, the course, the crowd, the competitiveness, the volunteers, and particularly the post-race party are absolutely fantastic. That fact that it is run in a relatively small Upstate New York city is all the more reason why its spectacular nature can take you by surprise. The entire city turns out, and it seems like everyone in the city is involved in some way. The volunteers are absolutely first rate, with the organizers being as professional as one might expect at a big "name" marathon like Boston or Chicago. I recommend this race unreservedly to anyone interested in a great course and a great party!"
