"This was my first tri last year, so naturally I am planning on doing this one for many years to come. The course it challenging- a true sprint. The swim in just over 800m and a straight shot down the shore to the T area. The bike is along the countryside of Lake County, a beautiful ride and a full 15mi. The run is hard, almost all uphill (gradual) with the worst of it from 1.5-2.5 miles. But they have it well marked and with plenty of aid stations.
Great race, really enjoy it and it's getting larger every year. "

"I was a first time participant in 2009. I don't know how years past were like, but I was not really impressed. This was an expensive sprint triathlon, at $90 post discount cutoff date. The course was very hilly, which isn't itself necessarily bad, however the bike route went through construction areas with giant potholes which made it outright dangerous. I'm glad I scouted the course the day before. There was no music at the start, and the organizers weren't very enthusiastic, which was a buzzkill. They finally had some music playing at the finish. As part of the schwag bag, they gave us a pea-green t-shirt. No thanks."

"First Tri, it was great. The swim was a 1/2 mile straight down to the T area, easy to follow. Bike and run is a good course with some hills but nothing too hard. Will do again in 09'"
